Winter’s not quite done yet.

As of Tuesday morning, the recent storm covered the Devil’s Lake State Park region with about 7–10 inches of snow across the park.

That gives us at least one more chance to see the park in its winter form. At the same time, temperatures are rising, and we’re expected to reach near 70°F by Saturday.

If you’re heading out this week, trails are snow-covered and slippery. As things melt, expect icy conditions on the bluff trail stairways, along with mud in areas like Steinke Basin, the Uplands Trail, and the route from Sauk Point over to Parfrey’s Glen.

Stay safe out there. ❄️🥾
