Devil’s Lake and area trails are in good summer condition. Steinke Basin is in the best condition we’ve seen this year, but weekend rain might bring back the mud in low lying areas.
Poison Ivy and Wild Parsnip are both actively growing right now — watch for them crowding trail edges and benches on the quieter, less-traveled paths, where it’s easy to brush against one without noticing.
