Devil’s Lake and area trails are in good summer condition. Expect a few puddles from last week’s rain, especially in low-lying areas.
Poison Ivy and Wild Parsnip are both actively growing right now — watch for them crowding trail edges and benches on the quieter, less-traveled paths, where it’s easy to brush against one without noticing. North Shore boat launch and pet swim area closed: The North Shore boat landing is closed for dredging through early August. Boaters should use the South Shore boat launch. The South Shore pet swim areas are open as well.
