All campsites at Devil’s Lake are reservable. There are no walk-up or first-come, first-served sites. Reservations can be made online or by phone starting 11 months before your arrival date. Popular electric sites — especially wooded ones — book out months in advance.
Reservation Fees
The reservation fee is non-refundable. Campsite nightly rates vary by site type, electricity, and season — rates are visible when you select a site. Nonresident campers pay an additional $15 per night.
A Wisconsin State Park vehicle admission pass is also required for each vehicle at the campground. Passes can be purchased at the park entrance or in advance.
Fees verified May 2026. Subject to change — confirm at GoingToCamp before your visit.

Good to Know
Why does the system show sites as booked when the campground has empty spots?
No-shows and late cancellations. The financial penalty for not showing up is low enough that some campers hold sites speculatively or don’t bother canceling when plans change. Sites freed by same-day cancellations go back into inventory, but there’s often a lag before they appear available online.
Can I use an empty reserved site if no one shows up?
No. All sites require a valid reservation. A camping unit must occupy a reserved site by 3 p.m. on the second day — sites that don’t meet that standard can be reclaimed by the park, but enforcement depends on staffing.
The park looks full. What’s my best move?
Use the Notify Me button at wisconsin.goingtocamp.com — it alerts you when a cancellation opens a site at your dates. Check back the morning of your trip. Cancellations happen right up to arrival day. If Devil’s Lake is fully booked, private campgrounds near Devil’s Lake are worth a look — several are within a short drive of the park.
