Wisconsin offers many opportunities to view bald eagles. One of the best locations in the state is on the Wisconsin River in Sauk-Prairie, especially during the winter months below the Prairie du Sac Hydroelectric Dam. Check the map below for more viewing locations in Sauk-Prairie.
Bald eagles can often be seen at Devil’s Lake State Park and along the Baraboo River, but in lesser numbers.
Don’t Disturb The Eagles!
Stay in your car and use it as a blind. Do not walk along the river, particularly at the dam. Eagles need to conserve their energy in order to survive the cold days of Wisconsin winters.
