Red Cedar Shelter (South Shore)

All Devil’s Lake shelter reservations are no longer made directly through the park.

Shelter Reservations for Rock Elm, White Pine, White Oak, and Shagbark shelters may be made through the  new reservation system.

The Red Oak Shelter is now managed by the Devil’s Lake Concession Corporation. To reserve The Gathering Place at Red Oak, please email [email protected].

General Information

There are two enclosed shelters and three open air shelters available for rental at Devil’s Lake State Park. There are also five other non-reservable shelters at the park. Seven shelters are at the south shore area and three shelters are at the north shore area. Each reservable shelter has electricity and tables. Shelter capacities vary from 40 to 100 people. Some park facilities and services (buildings, water, restrooms, concessions, camping areas) are closed during the off-season (about Oct. 15 – April 15). Shelters are available for rental from mid-April to October 31.

Parking

Vehicle admission stickers are required on all motorized vehicles and may be purchased at a group rate. Minimum group rate is 20 stickers at $5 each ($100). Contact the park to order/pay for stickers at least seven days in advance but not more than one year prior to event. The park requires 48 hours to process the order and stickers must be picked up at the north shore visitor center. You are responsible for sticker distribution. The park will not hand out pre-paid stickers as guests arrive.  Be sure to tell your guests not to buy a sticker when entering the park. Group rate stickers are non-refundable. If you are not interested in purchasing group rate stickers, guests will need to purchase a daily sticker on the day of the event. Availability of parking is not guaranteed and lots fill fast, so plan to arrive early.
