Why Hike It? This is a short spur trail that takes you out to see the iconic Devil’s Doorway rock formation.
Description: This short looped trail extends from the East Bluff trail down steep and uneven stone steps to the Devil’s Doorway rock formation. (.5 mile, approximate hiking time .25 hour) Access to this trail is from East Bluff trail and can be reached from East Bluff Woods, CCC, Potholes and/or Balanced Rock trails.
Danger!
Hikers will walk on an exposed, narrow, rock ledge with dangerous drop-offs. Visitors have fallen to their deaths from this location. Be alert.
Winter: Adding snow and ice to dangerous drop-offs makes this a very risky winter hike as well.
