Devil's Lake State Park has been transformed into a winter wonderland, with 3-5 inches of…
We received about 2 to 3 inches of fresh snow overnight! It’s possible we’ll see a few more inches throughout the weekend!
It’s spring and you never know what the weather will be like in the Devil’s Lake region this time of year. The important things to keep in mind is that the trails will be a mix of snow, ice, and mud and the ice on the lake isn’t safe! So use caution if you visit the park this weekend. Pack ice cleats if you have them and use extra caution around cliff edges and stone stairways!
Here’s a link to one local weather report.
Stay safe!
For nearly 2 decades the Skillet Creek blog has focused on 3 main goals; To inspire you to visit and explore the Devil’s Lake region, to help you get the most your visit by sharing tips, events, and other helpful information. Lastly to advocate for our environment & wildlife and talk about how we can keep our natural areas amazing now and into the future! That last goal can sometimes cause controversy, but it’s the only way we can accomplish the first two. – Derrick Mayoleth, Owner.
