There are so many holiday events these days, that it's nearly impossible (and expensive!) to…
The Sauk County Fair in Baraboo officially runs from July 11th through the 17th (2022), but for most of us, it really kicks off today, July 13th, and runs through the weekend. This is because today the Midway Opens at 4 pm!
If you’re staying at the park this week or visiting on the weekend, it’s always worth a side trip over to the Sauk County Fair for some food and fun! To get the whole county fair experience be sure to visit the animals in the barns, and check out all the projects done by the kids in 4-H and other groups. And of course, head over to the midway for games and rides. You can also Grab a bite to eat and check out the entertainment. To learn more visit http://saukcountyfair.com/
The Sauk County Fairgrounds is located just about 2 miles from Devil’s Lake State Park.
For nearly 2 decades the Skillet Creek blog has focused on 3 main goals; To inspire you to visit and explore the Devil’s Lake region, to help you get the most your visit by sharing tips, events, and other helpful information. Lastly to advocate for our environment & wildlife and talk about how we can keep our natural areas amazing now and into the future! That last goal can sometimes cause controversy, but it’s the only way we can accomplish the first two. – Derrick Mayoleth, Owner.
