The summer crowd is still hanging around... Autumn is getting later. It's easy to see…
Explore Devil’s Lake with the naturalist and uncover the hidden gems and overlooked forests and fields in the park. These guided hikes will happen each Saturday afternoon during the month of March. Each walk will last two to two-and-a-half hours and the terrain will vary each week from easy to difficult.
Saturday, March 5, 2022, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m – This week’s walk will be through Steinke Basin. March weather can vary and so can the trail conditions, so be prepared for ice, snow, and mud. This is a relatively easy walk over flat terrain. This hike is best for adults and teenagers. Meet at the Steinke Basin Parking Lot.
For nearly 2 decades the Skillet Creek blog has focused on 3 main goals; To inspire you to visit and explore the Devil’s Lake region, to help you get the most your visit by sharing tips, events, and other helpful information. Lastly to advocate for our environment & wildlife and talk about how we can keep our natural areas amazing now and into the future! That last goal can sometimes cause controversy, but it’s the only way we can accomplish the first two. – Derrick Mayoleth, Owner.
