Sad news today. Former Devil's Lake State Park Naturalist and author Ken Lange has passed…
2021 Wisconsin State Park admission stickers are now available!
In less than 30 days you’ll be required to have a 2021 Wisconsin State Park sticker on your car when you visit Wisconsin State Parks. For a lot of folks, purchasing your stickers in December, means you don’t have to worry about it later… especially when the lines start getting long at parks like Devil’s lake. AND of course, park stickers make great holiday gifts!
Wisconsin State Parks admission stickers are available for purchase online, by phone, or in-person at most Wisconsin State Parks. 2021 state trail passes are also available but need to be purchased at individual properties or over the phone. In our area trail passes are required for the WI State 400 Trail, the Great Sauk State Park, and at Mirror Lake State Park for winter ski trails.
Order stickers and passes online or over the phone by Friday, December 11, to receive them before the holidays. To get yours go online to https://yourpassnow.com/ParkPass/wi Or, call the DNR at 1-888-305-0398 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to order.
For nearly 2 decades the Skillet Creek blog has focused on 3 main goals; To inspire you to visit and explore the Devil’s Lake region, to help you get the most your visit by sharing tips, events, and other helpful information. Lastly to advocate for our environment & wildlife and talk about how we can keep our natural areas amazing now and into the future! That last goal can sometimes cause controversy, but it’s the only way we can accomplish the first two. – Derrick Mayoleth, Owner.
