Have you had a chance to walk or bike on Wisconsin’s Great Sauk State Trail? The paved trail follows a former railway from Sauk City through the Sauk Prairie Recreation Area, and will eventually run through Devil’s Lake State Park and connect with the Wisconsin State 400 Trail.
Skillet Creek Media has been working on a video project along with our local Sauk County Community Development folks to create a video series to tell you all about our newest biking and hiking trail. We post a new 3-minute to 5-minute video every other Tuesday to Youtube & Facebook, so be sure to check it out!
Art On The Trail
In this weeks clip (Above), we asked Lindsey Giese, Executive Director of River Arts Inc., in Sauk Prairie to tell us more about some of the art along the Great Sauk State Trail and ways to explore the trail from Sauk Prairie which is just about 15 minutes south of the park.

To Learn More About The Great Sauk Trail Visit
For nearly 2 decades the Skillet Creek blog has focused on 3 main goals; To inspire you to visit and explore the Devil’s Lake region, to help you get the most your visit by sharing tips, events, and other helpful information. Lastly to advocate for our environment & wildlife and talk about how we can keep our natural areas amazing now and into the future! That last goal can sometimes cause controversy, but it’s the only way we can accomplish the first two. – Derrick Mayoleth, Owner.
