The fall colors are changing fast this season at Devil’s Lake State Park. If you’re wondering what it’s like right now or if you just can’t get to the park this season, we’ve got a couple of videos for you!
North Shore Entrance Road
The most popular fall color drive in the park is the north shore entrance road. This video was shot a bit after 11 am on Tuesday, Oct 13th. This video runs about 4 minutes. I always think they’re most enjoyable watching in 4k on your TV App. Here’s a direct link.
North Shore Drive Through
This 14-minute video extends the tour above to head through the park’s main day-use area, the boat landing, the eastern parking lots, and out the exit road. Again, this is available in 4k on our YouTube Channel.

For nearly 2 decades the Skillet Creek blog has focused on 3 main goals; To inspire you to visit and explore the Devil’s Lake region, to help you get the most your visit by sharing tips, events, and other helpful information. Lastly to advocate for our environment & wildlife and talk about how we can keep our natural areas amazing now and into the future! That last goal can sometimes cause controversy, but it’s the only way we can accomplish the first two. – Derrick Mayoleth, Owner.
