The summer crowd is still hanging around... Autumn is getting later. It's easy to see…
It’s time for a Critter Cam check! This time we checked out a couple cameras from the deepest regions of Devil’s Lake’s south bluff, AND what surprises we found. In fact, this is the first time we’ve ever captured the critter above!
Can you ID this critter?
Think you know? Well, the park naturalist also has a camera not far from this one and she caught the same critter, in fact she got much better shots along with a variety of other animals. Click here to check out her newsletter and reveal what NEW animal we’ve captured!
More Mysteries!
Who’s this? We wanted to say coyote, but the grey fur doesn’t look right at all. What do you think?
And who’s this night stalker?
Look at those pointy ears! (And look at all that garlic mustard!)
We Don’t Know!
Yep, we look at trail camera pictures all of the time and usually we can ID them with confidence. We knew what we had with the top critter but with the bottom two, we have our guesses but bottom line, we can’t be sure. If you know, please tell us in the comments below!
For nearly 2 decades the Skillet Creek blog has focused on 3 main goals; To inspire you to visit and explore the Devil’s Lake region, to help you get the most your visit by sharing tips, events, and other helpful information. Lastly to advocate for our environment & wildlife and talk about how we can keep our natural areas amazing now and into the future! That last goal can sometimes cause controversy, but it’s the only way we can accomplish the first two. – Derrick Mayoleth, Owner.
