The summer crowd is still hanging around... Autumn is getting later. It's easy to see…
Many folks don’t realize that there are indeed waterfalls within Devil’s Lake State Park. The trick is that hey are ephemeral, meaning they only run for a short time in the spring. They are also not easily accessible being nowhere near public trails. So, we get out each spring and try to get some video for you. The video shows you what Black Bear falls looked like yesterday (March 29, 2020).
If you’d like to learn more about Devil’s Lake State Parks waterfalls, click here. In non “COVID19” years we also offer guided hiking tours to this waterfall through Devil’s Lake Adventure Hikes but like everything else, we’re on hold until we see how it all plays out.
Be well!
For nearly 2 decades the Skillet Creek blog has focused on 3 main goals; To inspire you to visit and explore the Devil’s Lake region, to help you get the most your visit by sharing tips, events, and other helpful information. Lastly to advocate for our environment & wildlife and talk about how we can keep our natural areas amazing now and into the future! That last goal can sometimes cause controversy, but it’s the only way we can accomplish the first two. – Derrick Mayoleth, Owner.
