Anyone who frequents Devil's Lake State Park knows how special this place is. From its…
It’s #WildlifeWednesday and time once again to check in on one of your Devil’s Lake State Park Critter Cams! This time around, we’ve got a cute fawn, a couple of curious deer, a loud turkey and more! These clips were captured between April and May of 2019 within the park.
If you’d like to see more of what we’ve captured in 2019, click here for past critter cam checks.
For nearly 2 decades the Skillet Creek blog has focused on 3 main goals; To inspire you to visit and explore the Devil’s Lake region, to help you get the most your visit by sharing tips, events, and other helpful information. Lastly to advocate for our environment & wildlife and talk about how we can keep our natural areas amazing now and into the future! That last goal can sometimes cause controversy, but it’s the only way we can accomplish the first two. – Derrick Mayoleth, Owner.

I love your critter cams!!I have lymes and many times when I want to get out into those woods I can’t,,soo looking at what u ,”catch,” I enjoy…However last week-end I was not in a lymes ,”flare,” and it was free ,soo I wanted to go to the Burma Road ,”Pine Knoll.” to see if we could get a glimpse at the ,”pine marten,”?,,,Well instead,,,we got a family of coyote’s,,Ma , Dad and the kits,,,They were sooo curious,,,1st Ma peeks around the corner of a huge rock face wall,,,,then dad takes a peek at us..Then we see the 2 of them bouncing on the boulders like rabbits to what appeared was just a over hang,,but no,,it was a small cave,,small enough for their babies to fit and no-one else but ma and dad.,,,with the creek not far,,,they picked a perfect secluded place to raise their family. It was awesome seeing these critters being critters as their meant to be,,in the wild,,and being privileged to witness them at play,,,maryw
